Registration and fees
Welcome !
Registration for 2024-2025 is now closed, but please use the first enquiries form to register interest for 2025-2026.
Trinity English School is a non-profit association founded by volunteer parents and employing experienced teachers and assistants with the aim of offering anglophone children from maternelle to 5ème-level students an environment in which to develop culturally and linguistically with the help of experienced ‘mother-tongue’ (or ‘first language’) English-speaking teachers and assistants.
IMPORTANT: Trinity English School is intended for children who are and will continue to be solely educated in the French school system. It is therefore not permitted for your child to simultaneously attend Trinity English School and other similar English-speaking or bilingual groups (e.g. Ermitage, Lycée International, Busy Bees, etc.). If you have any questions, please contact us.
All classes are held on Wednesdays, during the French school term, at Holy Trinity Church in Maisons-Laffitte :
- from 9:15 am – 12:00 pm for elementary and maternelle children, and
- from 1:30 pm – 3:30 pm for 6ème/5ème children.
Please note that while Holy Trinity Church (very) kindly provides classrooms for our association, we are a secular association. We follow and promote the principles of the Contrat d’Engagement Républicain that applies to all associations which benefit from public funds : liberty of conscience, of association, equality and non-discrimination, fraternity and prevention of violence, respect of human dignity and respect of French Republic’s symbols.
Admission conditions & testing
At least one of the child’s parents must have English as their first language. This is to ensure regular, sustained exposure to English at home and the needed support with homework. It also enables homogeneity in the class levels, as our school has been set up specifically for English bilingual families.
However, we do realise that each family’s situation is unique and that in some cases, early age exposure, especially in an English-speaking country, has established a strong enough bilingual foundation that, combined with parent motivation and commitment to maintain and continue to develop their English, can compensate for the lack of a first-language English setting in the family. Please fill out the below first enquiry form for individual review.
Admissions for Reception (PS/MS) can take place at the beginning of each quarter.
For Groups 1 (GS) and up, registrations close at the end of May, with an English language assessment interview on the Wednesday after the last TES class (so July 3rd 2024, this year, during last week of French school). This is required to ensure the children have the required academic level to join their corresponding age group class, as well as bilingual support at home. This is invoiced 50€ and is non-refundable regardless of whether a place is offered or not following the assessment.
If you are interested in enrolling your child in our Reception or our Reading classes, please fill in the information in our First Enquiry form (one form per child please) and we will contact you shortly regarding available space, and to sign up for the assessment interview for Groups 1 (GS) and up.
